PERNIK, November 16, 2023 — The European Polytechnical University (EPU) officially marked the commencement of the new academic year with an inaugural ceremony that took place at its main campus in Pernik on November 16, 2023.
Before an audience composed of a diverse range of attendees, including students, faculty, staff, and distinguished guests, Professor Marin Marinov, the Rector of EPU, initiated the proceedings with an address that underscored the institution's notable achievements in its academic programs. Marinov proudly proclaimed, "EPU has recently received accreditation for our online Bachelor program in Applied Informatics, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to the future of distance learning." He also announced EPU's accreditation for its Bachelor's and Master's programs in General Engineering, with a specific focus on Industrial Design.
Representing both the University's proprietor and its President, EPU's Vice-President, Professor Vesko Panov, extended a warm welcome to all EPU students and revealed EPU's inclusion in the prestigious European Union Erasmus+ program. This significant development opens up invaluable opportunities for both students and faculty members to engage in international research and educational exchanges.
Professor Marinov further shared EPU's vision of fostering collaborations with universities in China.
