Living standards in Bulgaria (Pernik) is lower compared to other European countries and is mainly determined by the amount of rent, food, transportation, leisure, books and supplies. Monthly allowance from 500 BGN to 800 BGN (approximately 250 € to 400 €), depending mainly on the type of accommodation that you choose. Bulgarian cuisine is no longer traditions in food preparation imposed through thirteen century history of Bulgaria, under the influence of various factors - geographical, climatic and cultural, customs, lifestyle, religion, socio- economic development and the impact of other national kitchens.
Characteristic of Bulgarian cuisine is perfect combination of meat and vegetables, cooked legumes and vegetables, as well as the relevant type of fat, resulting in yield dishes with great nutritional value, specific flavor. The use of spices in the preparation of the dishes is modest, depending on the type of the commodity.
Unlike other cuisines, the meat is subjected to a heat treatment together with other products or subsequently according to the time required to prepare. This requires somewhat more time to prepare meals, but contribute to the spicy and good taste.
European Polytechnic University has a restaurant , which offers every day 7-9 salads , soups 4-5, 6-8 types of meatless dishes , local cuisine types 9-15 , 6-8 types of fish dishes a la minute 15 species, 7 types of grilled , 5-7 type desserts, a variety of drinks . Cafeteria of the university work of self and all meals are ordered at the moment. Service is within 3-5 minutes, some orders service takes 10 minutes. The restaurant has more than 200 locations.
There are three cafes located in the region of the University. One of them range includes children's hot sandwiches, burgers and pastries. Cafés solicitation, hot and cold drinks, snacks, desserts and more.
Apart from being a place to eat, the restaurant and adjacent cafes is the favorite vacation spot for students, as well as a place to meet and talk.

The European Polytechnical University provides students with annual scholarships to students in the form of a bonus system whereby they can get relief from your tuition fee depending on their success in the previous year. Excellent students do not pay tuition.

Rules and regulations of road traffic and road signs are in accordance with European standards. When driving in Bulgaria, subject to the following speed limits: 50 km / h in the city, 90 km / h intercity roads, and 130 km / h on the highway. If you (the vehicle with foreign registration) become involved in a traffic accident, then it is required by law to wait for the arrival of the Traffic Police at the scene. It is forbidden to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The restaurant in the main building is open every day and is available to all students.
Student Council is an autonomous body representing the student community of the EPU and protects the interests of students at the university. It was created by a decision of the Academic Council. Student Council is actively involved in various projects and collaborates with other student organizations.
